Buckland Estate is a Stalely Victorian Georgian manor which was established in 1836. At the time it was one of the largest private buildings in Australia and it has had a colourful history as a social centre for the Avon Valley, and entertained many for National and International dignitaries.
Today it is a private residence set on 21 hectares and is located 100km East of Perth in the Avon Valley between Northam and Toodjay. The new owners are experienced in accommodation and event services and offer you many options for your wedding, retreats, events or weekend away.
This breath taking property with beautiful views in all directions, offers numerous locations for your country wedding ceremony and reception, all with lovely views of the homestead, hills, dam and surrounding farms.
All of your family and guests will continue to say how lovely this place and that the photos don’t do it justice.
We can accommodate over 60 people within the main Homestead, separate cottages and luxury clapping village.
Buckland Estate is truly a grand heritage property that offers you the privacy, charm and options for a modern country wedding, health retreats or farm stays within the surrounding serenity and privacy.
The Avon Valley is located about 60 minutes East of Perth and has long been a weekend getaway for locals and tourists alike. It is steep in history and includes a number of historical towns including Toodjay, Northam and York with a colourful patchwork of rolling hills, trees, crops, rivers and streams.
Amongst these towns (steep in history) there are some beautiful buildings, beautiful farmlands, weekend markets, amazing restaurants, cafes, wine producers, tourist attractions and many activities. These include museums, numerous walking trails, antique shops, white swans, Aboriginal Cultural centre, Avon descent canoeing, hot air ballooning, sky diving and the world famous wildflower season.
It is the start and the best of the wheatbelt farming region yet still so close to Perth.
